Savasana can be a wonderful time to relax and rest, but if you’re in a larger body or if you don’t feel comfortable lying flat on the floor, savasana can really hurt! Here are 6 options for a propped savasana.

This gives me more ideas for modifying savasana with a big butt & titanium in my spine 🙂 I’ve been doing it with my legs against the wall (flat on my back, scooted as close to the wall as comfortable, put legs up straight) which works when I don’t want to monkey with props…not nearly as restful as some of the lovely things you suggested though!

Thank you for explaining that savasana is not truly about being flat on the floor, so much as finding a way to fully relax the body. I was feeling frustrated that I couldn’t lower my legs flat without the small of my back lifting, no matter how much I tried to lengthen my tailbone. It was mildly uncomfortable, and definitely not super relaxing. All I needed was “permission” to modify with my knees up and I am instantly so much more comfortable. Thanks again!!!!
