Welcome back to your 7-day yoga exploration!

Yesterday, we practiced a warmup that can serve us anytime or anywhere. Today, we’ll be giving some love to our neck and shoulders. I don’t know about you, but when I’m on the computer and phone all day, I end up with a stiff neck, tight shoulders, and that tension radiates through my whole body!

If a consistent yoga practice is one of your goals, a tip I have is to practice right when you wake up, even if it’s only for 5-10 minutes. Set the tone for your day this way. I find that when I get it in early, then I am more likely to pay attention to stretching and mobility work throughout the day instead of just sitting at my desk for hours or spending tons of time on my phone.

Pro-tip: put a label on your phone alarm that says “Get up. Practice yoga.” Set out your yoga clothes the night before (or even sleep in them), and put them on right when you wake up. Then get onto the mat. During the day, you can use an app like Time Out or Pomodoro to bug you to take breaks throughout the day.

Today’s video is totally perfect for mid-day stretches at your desk. Let’s rescue our neck and shoulders!

I hope you enjoyed these stretches for your neck and shoulders. I’ll see you tomorrow where we’ll tune things in to our hands and wrists!

See you on the mat!
