Malasana (yoga squat) is a much easier pose for some than it is for others. Limb proportions, hip socket depth, and range of motion in the ankles and hips can all be a factor toward whether you love or hate this pose.
There’s no “one-size-fits all” way to do malasana, and even though your heels may lift, your feet may need to turn out, or your hips might not come as low as other folks, you’ll still find benefits in this pose!
In this video, you’ll discover why you might be having trouble in malasana, and a few prop setups that will help.
Here’s the video I referred to about body proportions and squats and here’s some info about the science of visualization. Yoga International also has a fantastic article about what malasana can tell you about your body.
Thanks so much! What a great explanation! I have an additional question. What mic do you use?
Thanks
